What is a SRV file?
SRV is a very old file format associated with FBB Packet-radio BBS application, which was very popular in during the MS-DOS era. The application allowed users to establish radio connections using BBS servers.
Files with SRV extensions store program initialization settings. FBB Packet-radio was also released for 16-bit versions of Linux systems. Since 2018 the application in no longer officially available.

How to associate the file with an installed software?
If you want to associate a file with a new program (e.g. my-file.SRV) you have two ways to do it. The first and the easiest one is to right-click on the selected SRV file. From the drop-down menu select "Choose default program", then click "Browse" and find the desired program. The whole operation must be confirmed by clicking OK. The second and more difficult to do is associate the SRV file extension to the corresponding software in the Windows Registry.
